Head to Head Comes to Fantasy Racing!
It's your team vs. another team in your league every round. Teams with the highest win percentage at the end of the season make the playoffs and compete for the top step of the podium!
Pick your team
Choose 5 drivers and 2 Constructors from F1. The catch is that you only have limited money, and those guys can get pretty pricey.
Go Head to Head
In order to climb to the top of the standings, you don't have to score the most points overall, just more than your opponent that week. While points are important, it's your team's win percentage that will determine your rank.
Survive the playoffs
The excitement ramps up at the end of the season as the top-ranked teams enter a single-elimination bracket. If a team outscores their opponent, they advance to the next round, edging ever closer to the top step of the podium!
FAQ
The official game uses cumulative scoring — teams compete against the entire field based on total points over the season.
Formula Matchup uses head-to-head matchups each race, similar to fantasy football except players can be on multiple teams. Each round you’re paired against one opponent, and your league standings are based on you team’s win percentage. For leagues with six or more teams, the final rounds make up a playoff bracket to determine the champion.
Both formats use F1 results, but the competitive structure is different.
There's a handful of differences that we felt added a bit more enjoyment:
- The scores are higher, but still competetive.
- The value changes consider the most recent race as more important, without creating catastrophic swings for sub-par performance.
- Negative points are only given for DNFs, DQs, and failing to set a time in qualifying.
- Subjective categories like overtakes and "driver of the day" have been removed from our score sheet.
