These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of formulamatchup.com (the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1) What This Site Is

Formula Matchup is an entertainment-based fantasy motorsport game inspired by real-world racing events.

  • There are no guaranteed prizes
  • The Site is for entertainment purposes only
  • Data and scoring may be imperfect or delayed

2) Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site. By using the Site, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3) Accounts

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login information
  • All activity under your account

We may suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion, including for abuse or violations of these Terms.

4) FM Plus (Optional Paid Features)

FM Plus is optional and provides extra features and perks.

  • FM Plus requires a minimum $12 payment per season
  • FM Plus does not auto-renew
  • Payments are processed through Stripe
  • Refunds are given if you ask nicely.

FM Plus does not create any ownership rights in the Site.

5) User Content (Names, Logos, etc.)

You may create usernames, team names, league names, and upload team/league logos.

You agree that your content will not: - Infringe intellectual property rights - Include hateful, abusive, or unlawful material - Include malware or harmful code

We may remove content at any time for any reason, including profanity, harassment, or misuse.

6) Rules, Scoring, and Changes (We Reserve the Right)

We reserve the right to:

  • Change scoring rules, pricing rules, and game mechanics
  • Fix errors and correct results
  • Update or remove features
  • Delay updates (including race scoring updates)
  • Suspend, reset, or modify leagues/teams where needed
  • Enforce rules in our sole discretion

We’re building a living game system. Stuff will change. Sometimes quickly.

7) No Gambling / No Prize Guarantee

Formula Matchup is not a gambling product.

  • FM Plus payments are for optional features only
  • There are no guaranteed prizes or winnings
  • Bragging rights are the primary currency

8) Data Accuracy Disclaimer

The Site may rely on third-party sources (e.g., race result data).

We do not guarantee: - Accuracy - Completeness - Timeliness - Continuous availability

The Site and all content are provided “as is” and “as available.”

9) Prohibited Behavior

You may not:

  • Attempt to hack, exploit, or reverse engineer the Site
  • Abuse or harass other users
  • Circumvent limits, rules, or moderation actions
  • Upload malicious code or attempt to disrupt service

10) Intellectual Property

Formula Matchup owns the Site and its original content, including:

  • Scoring logic and game mechanics
  • Layout, design, and branding (excluding user uploads)

You retain rights to your uploaded content, but you grant Formula Matchup a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, display, and use it as needed to operate the Site.

11) Formula 1 / FIA / Team Affiliation Disclaimer

Formula Matchup is an independent fantasy motorsport game and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to:

  • Formula 1
  • FIA
  • Formula One Management
  • Any Formula 1 team, constructor, or driver

All names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. References to driver names, team names, and race names are for descriptive purposes only. We do not use official logos or proprietary graphic marks owned by Formula 1 or its teams.

12) Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Formula Matchup is not liable for:

  • Loss of data
  • Loss of access
  • Scoring errors
  • Disputes between users
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Your use of the Site is at your own risk.

13) Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, including for violations of these Terms or conduct harmful to the community or Site.

14) Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15) Disputes

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to jurisdiction and venue there.
